New Zealand is considering replacing its national flag, mostly because it's nearly identical to Australia's flag, and because it's past time to get rid of the Union Jack in the corner.

Here's our old flag :

The URL has a gallery of thousands of (mostly crappy) submissions. It's really hard for me to find any that I like in all that mess, but I do kinda like this one, which combines a stylised Kiwi and Koru, in the primary colours of the prior flag :

I also like this Kiwi / Silver Fern design :

I just wish we had some better choices available.
