Yeah, it's not a discussion based article on motorcycles but I'm super excited about this tag, this bike, and any possible excuse to show it off. This bike comes from a mechanic at heart, who had it perfectly maintained until he put it into the garage 20 years ago and didn't touch it since.
This is the first picture when I got it home. Since then I've cleaned it and while it has surface rust, the paint is still shiny and very, very yellow. The throttle slide is jammed in the carb and the gas tank had 20 year old gas in it. The tank will need to be cleaned and the fuel lines will need to be replaced.
There are two foot pedals, a weird rocker shifter for an auto clutch and a rear brake pedal. There's a handle front brake an option for a handle rear brake, but the level and cable are missing. What's there is in good shape and probably won't be touched for now.
The air filter tubing is rotted through. The Exhaust is good. I haven't actually dismantled the bike enough to get to the battery but the wiring I've seen has been solid and shouldn't need changing.
There are pegs on the back but this model is the only year that didn't come with a buddy seat. But the seat is ripped so I'll probably get a new one eventually and the buddy seat with it. That's a long ways off and I'll just do with duct tape until then.
Lastly I have a 140cc engine coming down from new york. That's a project for me, I've never done an engine swap, so I'm holding off until I can make sure the 90cc is working.
