I posted a link to the photo I took of this painting last night in #pubski, but it deserves its own post imo. It is an amazing thing to see in person. I don't know if the video does it justice or not. You can tell it's interesting but you can't really get a sense of what's going on. The painting isn't flat. It's three large protruding points that come out from the canvas. Seeing the video, you may naturally assume that the part of the canvas that is sticking out are the corners of the buildings, but it's not. It's the small square bit at the back of the water that are.

It's a remarkable piece of work in my opinion. Here's the photo I took last night:

(born 20 Oct 1939)[1] is a British artist working in London. He is the creator of "reverspective", an optical illusion on a 3-dimensional surface where the parts of the picture which seem farthest away are actually physically the nearest.
