Every year in August, somewhere, somehow, this silly claim springs from the cold, dead ground, rising once again to shamble across the Internet. The first time it was just a mistake, but ever since then it’s been a hoax. Simple as that.

Plus, hoaxes like these are a great way to easily find who to purge from your Facebook friends list. I've seen the image in this article three times already on my Facebook feed (once was my mother poking fun as the ridiculousness) and therefore have two less "friends."
