Andersson was one of the founding members of the torrent site, and was the person behind the recent Promo Bay, the platform through which the Pirate Bay promotes an artist by slapping an ad or video on the site’s front page. During one of Andersson’s speeches, he not only announced his resignation from working with the Pirate Bay, but that the site should be shut down.
Wow. I wonder what the professional or political landscape would look like if people were willing to step aside to make room for whatever comes next. Completely different contexts, I understand, but surely there are some parallels.
