I might be a little young to remember the high time of the art of music videos, but I imagine there were some great music videos at one point in time.

(I'm fairly certain I'm not alone in thinking that Miley Cyrus' most recent single "We Can't Stop" is not only not art, but the video itself lacks artistic merit)

So for all of those who remember TRL, what was your favorite music video?

I don't have a favorite one, but one I really enjoy is Walk the Dinosaur by Was (Not Was).

MTV really isn't what it used to be is it? Of course the music video has been around since before that channel even started. I always liked the Beatles promo video for Hello, Goodbye.

But the best video ever made though is probably Sledgehammer, well that or Thriller. MTV was practically my third parent in the 80's and I used to love that one. A-ha's Take on Me comes to mind too. Land of Confusion used to scare the crap out of me when I was 7. And then there was 120 minutes and Alternative Nation that had some good stuff on it too.

Bands are still making great videos though. Thank god for the internet. Radiohead makes some good ones still. And I just saw Alt-J's Breezeblocks which I highly recommend.
