The whole "trust me, I'm looking out for you best interests" argument would be far easier for Obama to make if he hadn't campaigned on the premise that such surveillance is unconstitutional and that he, as a constitutional scholar, was uniquely poised to abolish such practices. Obama, more than any other politician, has solidified my distrust in political institutions and the men that comprise them.

To quote George W. Bush, "fool me once, shame on.... you fool me, you can't get fooled again"
