On October 21st, 1969, Hendrix actually sent a telegram to The Beatles’ studio Apple Records hoping to grab the attention of McCartney. “We are recording and LP together this weekend in New York,” the telegram read. ”How about coming in to play bass stop call Alvan Douglas 212-5812212. Peace Jimi Hendrix Miles Davis Tony Williams.”

That could have been amazing but Paul seems like the type that probably worked much differently than the others. Paul is a fantastic bassist and could likely improvise with the best of them, but he is also a perfectionist and was prone to all night sessions just to get a bass line down. It would have made for some interesting music though. I've enjoyed seeing Paul play with the Nirvana fellas.
