StJohn:

To be honest I thought he'd died years ago, but I've always been amazed by his work. The Golden Voyage of Sinbad is an exquisite movie in every way, not least because of Harryhausen's animation.

It sounds a bit disingenuous today, but I still prefer stop-motion animations and model-work over computer animations like in Star Wars I - III. The computer animations look cheap, frankly, whereas really good model-work like the Kali scene from Sinbad almost looks real.
