Bailouts and drone strikes are seemingly unrelated, but they have one key thing in common: We are letting the rule of law be shredded to pieces. Rule of law is the greatest aspect of Western democracies. If we lose it, we have nothing to protect us from slipping into totalitarianism.

I have a neighbor who is a developer who has completely lost his business in the last five years, because there is no access to credit. People want to buy, but they can't get loans either. Obviously the money is out there, if you know the right people. Its a perverse world right now.
