Today I learned that, unlike people or other corporations, Federal reserve bank stockholders don't have to pay federal, state,or local taxes on their annual, fixed dividends of 6% on capital stock (which they ironically call "entitlements"). They only pay property taxes on their buildings.

cgod: on profits of $82 billion the federal government received $79 billion last year, doesn't seem like a bad deal. The bank performs a bunch of useful functions, fosters stability, bothers Ron Paul, and a bunch of other fun stuff. Personaly I am glad we have an independent central bank, because if congress set monetary policy we would all be fucked.
