Community is of course the erstwhile show about a lovable and hateable group of community college misfits, etc. Season 4 starts up tonight, after long delays and firings and hirings and controversy. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the new season, predictions, complaints. I've personally been wearing my Greendale Community College shirt all day.

If you're interested, the writing staff did a hilarious and informative AMA on reddit yesterday, and lead actor Joel McHale did one today.

If you've somehow never heard of or seen the show, here is a brief clip that may or may not convince you something is missing in your life.

More optional viewing -- the educators of Greendale.

Heero:

Honestly, I watched Community on it's series premiere and liked it well enough to watch it through the first season. What an interesting idea for a show, to be able to have such self-awareness. They use jokes to point out their own writing and production flaws, as well as other shows. The only other show able to do this well is South Park. As the second season wore on though, it became less and less self aware, falling into the same trappings as "The Office". They felt the need to make everything situational and outrageous, shredding any feeling of reality to the characters. I watched the premiere of this season just to support what could be a good show, and maybe it will be, but the writers don't have what the original season did.

tl;dr Season 1 was good, but the show got worse over time.
