I came across user surajramnani, who submits all his posts from the same site (which is completely full of advertising). I understand that aspiring bloggers want to get as much traffic to their site as possible, but I think this is an example of someone who doesn't actually want to contribute the community, and instead wants to pollute it for their own benefit.

I'd be interested to see what other people think about this, and whether we need to introduce a "report spam" button or other method of penalising users like this.

Just use the "ignore" function for the user and if enough people use this function, they will be "flagged". But really, once you "ignore" a user like that you will never see a post of theirs again.

Thanks Josh.

I should mention that we have a number of bloggers that post their own content to Hubski, and I personally love that. Who better to share content than the creators of that content? Artists, writers, musicians.. please share, share, share. The key is to then interact with and be a part of the community in order to discuss your creations. surajramnani doesn't comment and likely has no interest in hubski outside of getting views/optimization.

But not all bloggers are created equally.
