thenewgreen: They have food, medicine, computers, a microphone and some drum circles. Now if they could effectively communicate a message, they'd be all set. Past "movements" have been successful, in part because they had a clearly defined goal: i.e. racial equality, women's liberation. These may seem like broad goals, but that's what galvanizes people. I don't doubt the sincerity of this movement, it seems like its comprised of people that don't feel like the have a voice in the current "system". I'm just curious, now that they are gaining spotlight and a voice, what do they want to say?
I'd like to see this have a positive impact on our discourse, we'll see.
My advice, have a broad but clearly defined goal and then work within it.
