All this talk of what's wrong with art, but not really any clear explanation of what the author would rather, besides "less sell-outs." Would he be happier if people played with vibrant colors more? Painted detailed landscapes?

Creativity comes not being afraid to experiment with the awful until you find something that sticks, no? I have my fair share of "modern art" that I hate, but this just seems like an unproductive piece...
