If a sex offender didn't' use the internet to sex offend I don't see why they should have to register all of their online info with the state. I also don't see why sex offenders should be singled out for registration. Seems that anyone performing an internet related crime would be a more applicable group to apply this kind of law to.
I find it offensive when people who are found guilty of a non drug related crime have to pay for drug testing to get parole, this seems a bit like that.
The size of the margin that this passed by is a bit disturbing, and is an example of just how easy it is to get the public to hand over their rights when you frame it correctly. I bet many read this Proposition as if it were asking: "Do you dislike sex offenders?"
