Fellow Hubskinites!

It is with great joy that I present to you "Among Friends" the third album by the groove jazz ensemble The Sextet. I personally am the bassist, bandleader, and primary composer of the group.

This album is extremely unique in that it is wildly diverse.

There's jazz hip hop, jazz reggae utilizing augmented harmony, an afrobeat arrangement of the jazz classic My Funny Valentine, free jazz improvisations with one of Kansas City's most notable poets, straight ahead jazz, a verbatim arrangement of Debussy's Clair de Lune for jazz sextet, and so much more on this 16 track album that clocks in at 1 hour and 55 minutes.
