A set of postcards made in the 19th century, that predict what life would be like in the year 2000. I love how people thought we would be playing croquet and tennis in the air and underwater. I think my favorite is the whale driven trolley. Seems like we're really lagging in the underwater department according to these people.
I don't know what to make of the whale submarine. Any sane person would know that tying a boxcar to a whale is madness. That makes me think some of this was done in jest. Maybe like Conan O'Brien's Year 2000 segments.
