The drummer from my old high school band flies Dragon for SpaceX. (It was his birthday the day Falcon Heavy launched.)

My Dad's chief mechanic, from when he was an auto racer in the 50's and 60's, and worked on the Voyager spacecraft, was a chief consultant on the Falcon Heavy, and one of the only people to connect the space programs of the past, with the work Space X is doing today.

And my Burning Man and blacksmithing buddy is leading solar research into Perovskites. And got profiled at NREL's site.
