Something beautiful died last night. It was inside a man, a man who had changed himself

to change his world.
A cancer had grown inside him. not a metaphorical cancer, a literal one.
eating away at his brain,
stealing away, slowly, quietly,
the man that we once knew,
and yet he did not show it.
He refused to show it.
Because he wanted to change the world for the better.
Leave it better than he found it. Maybe that's pride.
Maybe that's the eternal desire for immortality out of body
