Don't you realize the completely obvious difference between good news (which there is, of course) and monumental, terrifying news (which there is also, for AI)? Maybe you really don't, which is just plain weird, when it's clearly just TRUE. The greatest importance in 3-1/2 billion years, an absolute terror of species-ending proportions, and you just skip it, thinking it's too much to bother about early in the day. My word.
