A recent study of the global impact of climate change on coffee predicts that the area suitable for coffee will be reduced by 50% from current levels by 2050, and much of that future loss will occur in countries and regions that coffee drinkers past and present have cherished. Increasing temperatures, irregular rain, and prolonged dry seasons directly threaten the viability of coffee plants and coffee cup quality, and, by extension, the livelihoods of coffee farmers and communities who may be unable to predict weather patterns, prepare adequately for the challenge they face, and manage their operations profitably.

I've wondered if we will learn to love Robusta.
