Didn't have time to look for new music this week. Been playing a lot of Godflesh, Anaal Nathrakh, and Skullflower.
"Classic Man (Remix)" -Jidenna ft. Kendrick Lamar
I've been listening to a lot of Jidenna since his album dropped and I really like this remix. Kendrick fits his way into this beat really nicely.
James Blake's crooning vocals blend perfectly with his instrumentation and the lyrics espouse sincere truths with some nice prose.
"Mantra" -Telekinetic Walrus and the Pride of Ions
Telekinetic Walrus delivers such a great cosmically inspired hip-hop track with their usual unique flavor.
I love the twangy guitars and the overall vibe of this song.
"Torso of the Week" -Everything Everything
Everything Everything has had me hooked ever since their first album "Man Alive" and this song has always been really intriguing to me. I love the way the vocalist swings back and forth between soaring falsetto and his more aggressive vocal stylings. If you haven't go ahead and check out their latest album "Get to Heaven"
If you're looking for some dark and atmospheric hip-hop about an eight bit pirate then this is the guy for you.
This song is terrible. I love it.
"Brace for Impact" -Sturgill Simpson
Sturgill has consistently put out some of the highest quality country music. Even if you don't like country, I highly recommend this guy.
Death Grips is another one of those bands that are very inaccessible what with their very dark and primal lyrics and their absolutely monstrous beats.
