I had a tenant who had a pet lizard. She kept megawatts on that lizard, it seemed all the time. Maybe she dimmed them at night, maybe the lizard light was on a timer, but it looked like 24-7 to me. I wasn't living there when she moved in, and I was on an equal payment plan for the electric bill. After a year, both the electric company and me realized that I owed them $1000 more than the equal payment plan had deducted.

It was only then that it dawned on me about the damn 24-7 lizard light (or so it seemed).

She's gone now. Electric bill has gone way down.

Bottom line: Never let a lizard move in with you. Never.
