I like to listen to this versions of Eight Miles High. The Byrds jam style is driving and tense. I don't really find it all that pleasant, it's good but makes me feel kind of edgy. When they break out of minor jam hell 12 minutes in, I get a sensation of relief and freedom. I've listened to it many many times in a row just for the sensation of leaving hell for the lyrics, getting more mentally twisted with each subsequent listen. Maybe this is a strange way to spend my time?
