I so called this. My friends called me paranoid and that they wouldn't risk transmitting the key. Adoi, everything is cloud based with Windows 10 already, why would they not upload the encryption key, too? People forget passwords and they want to make encryption easy to use!

The biggest problem with Microsoft and Apple products is that it requires such effort to even figure out exactly what any of it is doing, and later you'll read news articles about the security of the devices you are already trusting.
