The Star Wars discussions and viewing party will begin this Sunday, with a film being watched each week until The Force Awakens comes out on December 18. We'll watch the films in machete order as voted upon. Discussion threads for each film will come up on Fridays starting November 20.

I know everyone will probably watch these on their own time, devoting a day to full marathons and such. Feel free to just pop in for the discussion threads and share your thoughts.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope will play at the Hubski Movie Club Theater on Sunday, November 15 at 8:45 EST. The film will remain on loop for the week, though I'm sure most have their own copies (of the original trilogy at least). The regular movie club's next film pick will simply be added to the looping playlist at a time TBA.

I do have one question that I should have asked before.

I don't know if anyone really cares, but I can stream Harmy's Despecialized Editions of the original trilogy if you guys are really picky about the CGI additions or Greedo shooting first. Or I could just stream the newest versions, with all of Lucas's retouches. Whatever is preferred.

Let me know.

Meriadoc:

Absolutely use Harmy's version. The CGI things are annoying, the adding of Chistian Hadensen even more so, but most importantly for Han shooting Greedo.
