It's kind of cool.

But those journalist ( digitaljournal just lost a credibility I never gave them) , are really pushing the sensationalism a tad too much.

Ok it's written on a parchment older than Muhammad birth. Parchment were a rare and precious commodities. Pretty normal to write on old parchment.

That the same argument for the forgery of Voynich manuscript. Having an old vellum does not mean it was written at the time the paper was created.

But for that dumbass journalist, it's an older parchment therefor it's written before Muhammad. I prefer considering that Brian Booker fellow as dumb, than mean-spirited. But.. oh ...

WanderingEng:

I thought this was pretty sensationalized, too:

Some scholars believe, however, that Muhammad did not receive the Quran from heaven, as he claimed during his lifetime, but instead collected texts and scripts that fit his political agenda.

This shouldn't shock any but the most devout Muslims. It need not invalidate anyone's faith, though. Prophet or not, their faith need not be supported by scholarly study in the same way that scholarly study should not be made to conform with faith.
