I've already posted these on /r/chan on reddit. Hsuan Hua was a great Chan Buddhist master who basically committed his life to both bringing Chan Buddhism to the West (came in via San Francisco) and creating discussion and such between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhist schools.

I took classes in Sansrit, and we went through some of these.

I have a friend who's husband, has family in India, she goes there to do permaculture. She had a group at her house, where we bumbled through learning pronunciation.
