It's quite an interesting read and there was some history that I didn't know about (e.g. the Nixon team hiring Harry Treleaven).

On the other hand, I know that the Clinton campaign used marketing strategies extremely well. If anyone has a good article about a similar history on the 'left' I'd love to see it.
