To be fair, while I strongly oppose his views and actions on fossil fuels vs. renewable energy, the CEFC could fund research into other technologies. Wind is already reasonably well-developed, and by forcing the CEFC away from it there could be a focus on things that may be unlikely to otherwise see interest from private industry. However, it'd still be nice to see more investment into things like wind without a prime minister who wants to reduce the number of the "visually awful" wind farms.
