Pretty neat idea, although personally I think it's a little clunky to have a separate app specifically for police recording. What do y'all think?
Like with the use of encrypted communications, it's an attempt to offer a technological solution to what is a political problem. I applaud the effort, but what happens when the government decides to make it illegal for citizens to record the police and the video doesn't get accepted as evidence in court?
