Interesting to see a reasonable bill coming out of the House. I'm sure that means it won't get a vote. I'm also sure I'm preaching to the choir when I say that terrorism is the most overblown "threat" to the US in our living memory.

On an only marginally related note, I was recently invited to be a lobbyist for a day on behalf of the American Heart Association. So, I'll be meeting with a contingent from the House and Senate in mid May. I can't say I think my looks alone will affect much, but I'm interested to see how the sausage is made.
