The idea isn't new (hell, it was developed by a Dutch traffic engineer in the seventies as well), but it's nice to see more empirical confirmation. To put it in a wider context, I think it's an interesting idea that as we become more efficient at a certain task, we don't necessarily spend less time on said task.
