I've always liked Al, warts and all. His hubris laced vanity, showmanship, intelligence, humor and outrage always seem to be battling it out. The results can be uplifting, hilarious, enlightening or disgusting.

If he had become the man he aspired to be he might have been an amazing force in the U.S., instead he will leave a mixed and unsatisfying legacy.
