The conflict between science and religon is purely because religion attempted to claim facts about the world that are not true, and those are now being proven to not be true.

Religion also made the mistake in stating that it was perfect, and any wrongs prove it wrong as a whole. How can we trust there is a God when the same book states the earth is flat and the run revolves around it, evolution doesn't exist, and the universe is a few thousand years old?
