That was totally fun for so many reasons. Gord Downey is a rock star (The Tragically Hip) and Al Purdy is, well, RIP Al.
I went to my bookshelf to see if I had "I'm a Sensitive Man" in a Purdy book there. I found what might have been Al's last poetry book (1997), signed, so we must have been hanging out or something.
