Back in August 2013, NASA scientists tested a device designed to use quantum vacuum virtual plasma to produce thrust. It worked using radio frequency resonation inside of a cavity .

The exciting part is that the force detected (30-50 micro Newtons) is not attributable to any classical electromagnetic phenomenon. Independent verification at other facilities is being planned.
