The original is my second favorite NMH song, that melody at the end on the French Horn, which I adapted to guitar is beautiful.

BE this is awesome work, great interpretation and I'm honestly just glad you didn't cover "aeroplanes over the sea," which is what everyone does.
I'm also glad Neutral Milk Hotel is touring again, this surge of five years of uncertainty turned out to be a complete revival-- a lot of people don't know Aeroplanes was released in 1998.
