The film sometimes devolves into clip after clip of Hitchens giving speeches, and the audio is a bit wonky, but it's a fairly good documentary considering it was made by one person.

The main takeaway (if there is such a thing) as far as I could make out is something along the lines of "it's sometimes good to vehemently protect your beliefs, as long as you remain open to new evidence". Hitchens is indeed ever the staunch defender of the beliefs he held.

One thing I'm interested in is if you agree with these tactics, or know people employing them. Is it better to maintain an attack or maybe give some ground so others find you more likable and are more readily open to a debate? Is it different for public intellectuals like Hitchens?
