As someone who has personally felt all excitement for an upcoming film stripped away with each new plot revelation spoiled by a theatrical trailer, I think this could be a good move for the industry.
I agree with this so hard. I feel like the very first trailer for the sequel to the Hunger Games actually did a good job about this. No mention of the second half of the film at all.
Pretty sure later trailers ruined that, but whatever.
I don't watch trailers for things I want to be excited for anymore.
