After getting through school, again, I took the leftover money and went as far as I could possibly get,

to a place settled long ago by Catholics,

who still sold knick-knacks in open-air markets,

and built a city deep in the jungle,

which would inspire sci-fi illustrators for decades,

but was largely shunned by the populace,

who mainly lived on the coast,

fishing,

and sunbathing,

on a famous beach with a cobblestone boardwalk.

Where was I?
