It's a shame the Kepler project is no longer running, all we got are either really big planets, or if they are Earth sized they were easier to pick up because of the tight rotation to their star guaranteeing a good chance at spotting them. Anything Earth size in orbit at a distance similar to our own would be harder to spot and obviously could take years to get a couple eclipses recorded for a positive result.
