mk: We have a new bird house in our yard. It's spring now, and a few days ago, this little bird was singing his heart out, jumping back in and out of the new house. We assumed that he was happy to find such a place, and was trying to sell a new lady-friend on it.

We haven't seen or heard from him for days. I keep looking at that house and wondering what went wrong for that little guy.

It's interesting that this symphony of drama is always playing out around us, and we most often ignore it. I love the idea that these little birds are showing off by singing on top of a scary bird's song. Our working knowledge of the world does nature such a disservice.
