I was having an emu-related conversation about dodo's elsewhere (only on Hubski, you know?) and got a brain flash.... Or maybe it's just the leading edge of a painful burn, since I've never seen a bleg on Hubski before.

Anyway, I am running in the Marine Corps Marathon in a month and raising money for Lupus. There is no real reason for Lupus except that it was the most neglected charity of all the ones listed - sorta the runt of the litter behind the more glamorous, if that's the word, charities.

I just thought that I could put some social work behind my marathoning and make it a better race for me and some sick people.
