This is more timely than ever with the recent backlash against HR 1981, which would mandate ISPs to keep data banks of users' IP addresses and (potentially) visiting information available to government search. Recent acts like this one, SOPA, and PIPA all serve to remind us of the need for Alito's message--that even if blatant disregard for internet privacy isn't intentionally written into the bill, it certainly opens the door for it and gives plenty of loopholes to operate under.
