I love my Kindle but I find the screen to be too small. It'd be nice if it were 8" instead of 6". I mostly read pdf s now ( papers for my thesis ) and I do not enjoy reading them in landscape mode.
The Theory That Would Not Die. Reading loads of technical books, too. PostGIS in Action and Spatial Databases: A Tour. And a smattering of web development books.
Great find :D Now if only I could find the time...

Oops. Drat. My bad. I thought hubskis redundancy filters would block it. Turns out it had a different URL.
Think of the possibilities: zoom, playback, infrared vision, x-ray and all those superpowers XD
OT: Man, have I been away that long? Since when did hubski have user tagging?

You might want to check out the Raspberry Pi, too. Granted, it is a bit bigger but at $25 a pop, it's a steal :D
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm currently earning my masters degree in geomatics engineering. I wanted a CS degree after but after reading your post, I think I'd get a math degree instead :)

Screw touchscreens, I want a retinal implant XD
Though it'd be nice if the Cotton Candy is a 3G modem too. That way you won't be too dependent on the host device's networking hardware.
I don't see any mention of Microsoft in that post.

It sounds like he wanted a wireless mesh network. I wish he succeeded with that too. I think it's still an active research area. We'd be awash in EM radiation, too. XD
Yeah. All it would take is one controversial link. This is a lot worse than the DMCA. At least that one had save harbors. The SOPA is a kill switch.
Any suggestions on how to combat this ghettoization?
Great find :) Liked the practice and challenge sections. Kinda reminds me of Project Euler.
Awesome read. Now looking at the books/papers it references. Speaking of hacks, you might want to check out "Mind Performance Hacks" by O'Reilly :)

How exactly? I don't really have an Android device yet. I've read a lot about the fragmentation issues though those things are rather abstract for me.
You might want to check this out:
http://www.mindview.net/Books/TIPython It assumes that you already know Python though. Might be better to read it after you've read Dive into Python or some other introductory book :)
De nada :) The tutorial that comes with Python is surprisingly good too. What're you gonna use it for btw?

Hardware's just part of the equation though. I think the ecosystem matters as much if not more than the hardware. This one would be deeply integrated into Amazon's services, much like the iOS devices were integrated with iTunes. I think Amazon has a winner here. Though I, for one, am sad that they won't be pursuing the e-ink Kindles right now.
On machine-machine interaction?
Btw, just noticed that the tags view does not show the date the article was posted. Won't it be useful to show it? Recency is one of the ways people judge the relevance of articles.

This one actually looks great. Liking the upload progress bar.
Amen. As much as I like Google, it makes me uncomfortable that they now know so much about me.
Or maybe this is part of some grand plan ;-)

What series is that? :)
Already enrolled. You should check out db-class and ml-class :)
Point taken. And now they own the browser too. ( At least the browser I'm using ). I'm loathe to leave Chrome though. sigh Decisions decisions. Security for convenience.
Hmmm... and maybe a recommendation for related tags?
That is going to be a very slow internet.

Got it. Thanks :)
Don't they release a new model each year? :P
