That happy man song is dope, thanks
This is a cool new song currently stuck in my head from Moby Rich called Yoko Ono:
I was curious why this was released on a Friday.
I started watching her youtube clips a couple weeks ago and soon realized the same thing. TDS would have hit the ground running and still be relevant with her but maybe she wouldn't have the same writers and would have been pressured to make it a certain way..it was probably for the best.
Wow, I'm always way too late for these. What a great way to get caught up on everyone's preoccupations!
Los Anheles! And thanks yea, it's been a while and it's been really great being back. Hope you have a good week, yourself!
that's where I wanna be
Hate to say it, but I'm afraid you might be right. However, it's that same kind of thinking that made me look at trump as some sort of cute side show at first. Now I'm not so sure. It does feel like some sort of change is in the air.
Is anything fucking real anymore?
Funny I just heard of The two jakes the other day. Looks like the worst parts of 90's hollywood rolled into a movie..plus Jack Nich having a midlife crisis and trying to prove he's still got it. I don't know if I even want to risk tainting the first one, although apparently siskel and ebert both loved it.
Chinatown !! (ignore the poster on imdb, I haven't seen it before and it throws me off) I only came to it a few years ago. But the atmosphere and the beauty of every scene. And Jack Nicholson just embodies it all. I may have watched the Matrix a few more times when I was young, but this movie is perfect, every scene tells a story.
Manhattan for sure.
A google phone, who's at fault now?
Yea, fuck this place! I quit my job and I'm gonna start posting on Empeople!
I keep listening to Someday over and over. It's an old wound. I dig some of the guitar work in Comedown, and that leslie in the first song. But there's a magic in these early songs.
Also, England's Newest Hitmakers, their first album, is probably my favorite and it's just great fuckin driving music. Spotify it or what have you. I really appreciate albums I can sit all the way through. Sticky Fingers is one for sure!
Carol is up there. This recording is so great. I could list a bunch but I'll just show my favorite live video. And one I think encompasses why they were so renowned for their live show (from the peak of their touring era): jumping jack flash, Texas 1971
kinda ignore mick's vocals, just listen to the keith and charlie groove. and mick taylor' solo is unreal.
His side of the mountain.
I don't know why..
Hah, yea no makeup person. I would say the show is purposefully crafted to be very "raw" for lack of a better term. Gives it a lot of flexibility, and yea the show is actually very captivating and I've checked out a few episodes since, but it's byo makeup artist.
Very cool, I remember reading that george harrison and john bought one each but john's went missing one day.
I've been wrestling with this for years. You have to understand the impact of your actions. But you're not responsible for other people's feelings towards you, ultimately. It has very little to do with you. It's about them and their experiences. However I can't really argue with anyone advocating for self awareness and a little understanding. I've always been fascinated with the idea of the "truth" and the "greater good." It's all in your head, you know.
It's gotta get worse before it gets better.
When the groove comes back after he says, "I just believe in me" is one of those perfect moments I'm always searching for and John (and the boys) seemed to hit them more than most. The dream is over. So concise, so powerful.
Exactly! And it was like he wass so used to it, like all he's really become proficient at after all these years is getting people to create approved soundbites. You can tell the producer was pushing him to pursue the line of questioning (if you can call it that). CNN knows they can shape the national perspective and the conglomerate they're apart of certainly has their own agenda.
"how the hell do they afford that apartment? They don't do shit!" I believe the apartment belonged to one of their grandmothers and had some wicked rent control..she died and they pretended she was still alive, yay!
You can't call that an interview. Blitzer just seems like he's on autopilot, not even thinking about what he's saying, just mindlessly trying to get this guy to agree with the CNN approved narrative.
Funny I've been all about Jealous guy for the past week. Just stunning:
There's an app now?
