In case anyone doesn't know and is interested in more of his work, comic book artist Chris Ware is behind this cover. Arguably the best graphic novelist alive, his contributions and covers for The New Yorker over the years have been breathtakingly poignant, and I highly encourage anyone who hasn't done so to get their hands on anything he's done (Acme Novelty Library, Jimmy Corrigan, etc.) in the past. You won't regret it.

Fair warning to anyone considering a foray into Bret Eason Ellis' work: reading Less Than Zero is going to leave you with the feeling of an irreparable void in the pit that was once your stomach, but is now only a vacant space where your faith in humanity once resided.

That being said, I do highly recommend it.

Came in this discussion to recommend this, and I'm glad to see others have beaten me to it. I'll toss my hat into the ring by voting for Hitchhiker's Guide and also recommending Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It's in a similar vein alongside Hitchhiker's Guide, so I believe anyone who enjoys one will also enjoy the other.

Ah such a lovely tune. A further testament to why this remains my favorite Willie Nelson album. (Well, alongside Red Headed Stranger that is...)

While I normally abhor the idea of guilty pleasures on the basis that everyone should fully embrace what they enjoy and treat them simply as pleasures instead, I do wholeheartedly love Pop and R&B music and am admittedly reluctant to express this love with most people.

Whether it's a songs like "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer, "Love Fool" by The Cardigans, or more recent tunes like Private's "My Secret Lover" and "We Got Some Breaking Up To Do" I cannot help but (poorly and with great heart) sing and dance as though no one is watching. And don't even get me started on R. Kelly, Ginuwine, Usher...the list goes on.

So really my takeaway is that everybody's got a thing, and we should all do our best to not yuck on anyone else's yum.
