I like to think of the newer "waves" as themes rather than genres. Themes grant you permission to use samples of related audio and video. The OG vaporwave though, that really takes more effort in the craft I feel.
Flamingosis' latest album Flight Fantastic has been such a groovy trip
New Gorillaz content!
Just found out that DJ Krush has a new album this year!
I always see the "email" and "print" options for each Hubski post, but has anyone actually done that?
I wonder if this would end up decoupling the citizens' behavior from their moral compasses
Neat, I've been dabbling in music production for a while now, mostly working in Ableton. Well I haven't really done much recently, being a uni student busy with assignments :p
Ooh this style looks neat. I tweaked that ".box:nth-child(even)" rule to "background: rgba(10,10,10, 0.2);" and that seems to work fine for the night mode. Also curious what music genres do you compose in?
From the new profile design that they've already rolled out, this isn't too far fetched. I mean so far their revenue comes mostly from on-site ads and reddit gold. And maybe from the celebrity AMAs on /r/IAmA? Don't think that's reliable and substantial enough to allow reddit to grow further as a company. At least they still leave options for users to revert to the classic designs, though I wish there were a way to leave those as default if you wanted.
I feel like the so-called fix would really be a mask to prevent the undeleted copies from being discovered again, but not actually getting rid of them
Same, I stumbled upon Hubski a few years ago, independent of Reddit drama. Was honestly just looking for other online communities that didn't get as much spotlight.
The figure could still be made always visible though. The thermometer alone indicates nothing about the exact figures for the goal and raised amounts.
Ooh boy, I've had to read a little bit of Orientalism a while back for a brief university module that I took up, an introduction into a few of Japan's cultural archetypes. I might go for a full read some time in the future. Even now you could point out traces of cultural influence from the Orientalism paradigm, still persisting in Western media.
At least here in Singapore, there's been quite some frustration that Grab now has one fewer rival to deal with. And I think Uber was more popular due to better app + stronger incentives to return Also apparently the Uber drivers are now in limbo, since they haven't properly sorted out the transition process to Grab yet
Part of me thinks he's developed an addiction to negative attention. Another part of me thinks he might actually have Alzheimer's and is losing grip of his coherence and lucidity. Either way it's too irresistible for people to comment on from whatever stance.
Goodness it's been a long time since I popped back here on Hubski. Last time I commented at all was like, what, about half a year ago? Also it apparently seems like Pubski's been doubled... wonder if this could be automated with a bot account set on a regular schedule?
So exactly what metrics determine your EXP gain?
You definitely cannot get as intimate on the Internet as you can with real physical presence, but I don't think that means there's no emotional connection with the Internet either. In fact there are loads of online communities that allow people to discuss and empathise with others. The tricky part is fostering that conducive environment while fending off saboteurs of this safe space. Funnily enough I think the rise of Internet accessibility has made me interact more with my parents, because they end up a little more aware of rising trends and hot topics online, giving us more material to chat about.
And it's true that some forms of art aren't difficult in terms of technical skill. The part that gets glossed over often is the much more laborious conceptualization of abstract ideas into the physical forms you see, even for visually simple paintings.
The artist has a concept in mind that becomes fleshed out in physical form, whether through performance or painting or sculpture or song. Mimicking that manifested form alone doesn't replicate the same process of materializing that exact concept the artist had in mind. You can certainly have artists who create near-identical pieces of work and yet hold completely different ideas behind the creation of the pieces.
Voat was more or less already given the template of being a close reddit mirror quite early on, just with different community policing strategy. Interestingly even Voat users are trying to move away from Imgur, being wary of the Imgur admin's similar (not quite identical) takedown policies.
On the other hand it seems like the author gave a very superficial look at the other alternatives. For instance, nothing about Snapzu's gamification or tribe system was mentioned in the article. And he's painted the others in quite a negative light.Definitely good to read a fair review of what this site is all about.
Nah. This is more a rant of the humidity and heat experienced in the past few days. Typical weather though. Funnily enough a few hours after that haiku a heavy flash rain just poured and alleviated the heat.
